What we believe
Our Mission
The Hills Church exists to win, train, and send people for Jesus. We’ll do anything short of sin to reach people and mobilize them for this Mission.
Our Vision
Win. Train. Send.
Here’s how we accomplish our Mission:
- WIN people to Christ (Luke 19:10)
- TRAIN believers to become disciples (Ephesian 4:11–12)
- SEND disciples to impact the world (Acts 8:4)
Core Beliefs
Creator of the Universe. (Genesis 1:1) One, existing as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; Titus 3:4-6)
All humanity has sinned — willfully rebelling against God. (Romans 3:10, 23)
The Grace of God saves humanity from its sinful condition through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-26)
Throughout eternity, we will either exist separated from God in Hell due to our sinful rebellion or in union with God in Heaven due to the forgiveness and salvation that accompany faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 13:40-43; Revelation 21:3-5)
Written by man under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit without error or mistake. (John 14:26; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)
Founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere. (Acts 2:1-47; Ephesians 4:4-6)
Church Practices
Baptism: Believers mark their faith in Jesus by being immersed in water as taught and exemplified in the Bible (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38)
Communion: Taken each week in remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)
