The Hills Church

This series takes a look at what the Bible says about darker areas we may struggle: anxiety, depression, self-harm/suicide, trauma and grief.

19% of the United States population struggles with an anxiety disorder.
4.58% of adults in the United States reported having serious thoughts about suicide in 2022. If we apply that percentage to The Hills’s average weekend in-person attendance, 124 people in the room last weekend have considered taking their own lives THIS YEAR.

Additionally, trauma and grief are significant challenges faced by millions of people in the United States as a result of any number of hurts and losses.

The heart of this series is to engage in the conversation on mental health with an emphasis on courageously and tenderly stepping into the darker struggles we can face in order to bring those struggles to the light where we can realize that:

1. We are not alone in the battles we wage in our minds
2. We have a Savior who not only weeps with our sorrow, but is well acquainted with sorrow and grief. He also has conquered death in all its forms and offers pathways of restoration, healing, and hope.
